The function of a pressure safety valve is to protect pressure vessels, piping systems, exchanger, boiler and other equipment from pressures exceeding their design pressure by more that a fixed predetermined amount. The permissible amount of overpressure is covered by various codes and is a function of the type of equipment and the conditions causing the overpressure. Failure of safety valve can cause cathastropic accident. Periodically inspection, testing and repair is one of the most important element that the safety valve work properly.This course explains how safety valve and relief functions and how to maintains and ensure long life operation

Pipeline atau perpipaan merupakan salah satu peralatan utama di dalam industri baik industri petrokimia, perminyakan, pertambangan dan lain-lain yang digunakan sebagai salah satu alat transportasi zat cair. Komponen utama perpipaan adalah  pomp dan jaringan pipa, sementara komponen-komponen bantu adalah katub-katub dan strainer (block valve, control valve, strainer, foot valve, dll), fiting (elbow, tee, reducer, inducer, dll) dan berbagai alat bantu lain yang diperlukan. Selain komponen utama dan bantu, perpipaan masih dilengkapi dengan beberapa instrumen misalnya instrumen alat ukur.
Pelatihan ini akan memberikan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan para peserta dalam bidang pemipaan. Dimana jenis pipa, penentuan diameter pipa, serta tekanan operasi akan dibahas. Disamping itu akan dijelaskan pula instrumentasi, meter dan aksesoris yang diperlukan. Pemipaan atau penempatan pipa di darat dan di laut, pengetesan kualitas pipa dan pemeliharaan, serta cara perlindungan dari korosi juga akan dibahas secara mendetail. Begitu pula pemilihan pompa atau kompresor yang tepat akan ditambahkan, sehingga melengkapi kursus ini dari semua aspek yang berhubungan dengan sistem pemipaan
