Formation And Well Testing
Description :
This course
focuses on transient well test interpretation and the application of wireline
formation testing. The basic theory of steady- and semi-steady-state radial
flow is covered as an introduction to reservoir engineering. The proper design
of well tests is covered and a framework for interpretation based on diagnostic
fingerprints and specialist plots is developed. Field examples are used to
illustrate the techniques. The application of distributed pressure data in
produced fields is covered particularly with regard to matching with the
reservoir simulator.

Who
should attend :
This is a course for reservoir
engineers, production engineers, development geologists and petrophysicists and
all the theory is systematically treated, it is conducted at a fairly high
technical level as it moves into the various applications and case studies.
