Industrial Power Systems Engineering & Device Coordination
For Industrial & Commercial Power Systems
This training is designed for electrical engineers
responsible for industrial or commercial power systems planning, designs for
reliability and overall system performance. Participants will calculate
available short circuit current at varied power system one-line locations to
learn how to properly size fuses, cables, breakers and transformers. By
learning protective device coordination, load shedding may be accomplished with
minimal impact to power system operation.
Course Content
- Short circuit calculations
- Power factor improvement
- Recommended motor / generator / transformer protection
- Switchgear and system voltage selection
- Voltage drop / flicker reduction
- Equipment / system grounding practices
- Load estimating techniques
- Plant modernization recommendations
- Protective device coordination
Who Should Attend : Application engineers,
design engineers and electrical engineers, etc.
